I just saw this news article as I logged on this morning and found it to be very funny.

There is always one hoax or another trying to disprove that Jesus is God and His Resurrection of Eternal Life for us, I guess that every Resurrection Holiday (Easter) they have to put this stuff out.

Its funny because they always claim to have answers that are difficult to verify, i.e. He is in a grave in Kashmir but dont go there and examine it because its really a Muslim grave and they wont tolerate it being messed with.

And remember that the current Muslim religion didnt come into existence until 600 years after the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The Muslims have written about Jesus in their Koran in fact Jesus is mentioned more times than Mohammad in the Koran but having rejected the Bible the Muslims have greatly errored in their teachings about Christianity. For Instance the Muslims teach the Judas Iscariot was crucified and not Jesus, therefore Judas is the good guy not Jesus and also the Koran writers got confused and declared that Marry (Merriam) the sister of Mosses, is the Mother of Jesus. Talk about errors thats about as bad as it can get!

Kashmir Tomb: Christ's Body Found?

By Cathryn Conroy, CompuServe News Editor

Could this really be true? Suzanne Marie Olsson, a researcher from New York who is working in Sringagar, which is the summer capital of Kashmir, has been studying the Muslim shrine of Rozabal. According to United Press International, she says she has found there the final resting place of the body of Jesus Christ. Other researchers, sources say, agree with her assessment especially since there is a long tradition that the Holy Family eventually lived in the land that is now Kashmir. In addition, she thinks she has located the tomb of Jesus' mother, Mary, at the Murree Hill station in Pakistan. Under the supervision of archaeologists, Olsson obtained a tissue sample from the Murree Hill tomb for DNA analysis and carbon dating. Now she wants to extract a tissue sample from the Rozabal tomb--to see if the remains have similar DNA. Olsson says this is the only way to prove who is buried in the shrine and end the debate.

What does the Bible have to say about Jesus Christ's burial site? Search the Bible chapter and verse on CompuServe's Spirituality site.

"Now Rozabal holds the key," Olsson told the Greater Kashmir newspaper. "If the remains there are sent for testing and then tallied with the results of the Murree project, it will either establish the link between the two shrines as being of similar origin and thus authenticate the Marium-Jesus theory or prove it wrong for good." (Marium is another name for Mary.) Viewing such an intrusion as a desecration of the shine that is the grave of Muslim saint Yuza Azaf, the Rozabal custodians are outraged by the request and adamantly insist they will never allow it to take place. Olsson has appealed to Kashmir's chief minister, Farooq Abdullah.

Well all I have to say is "Keep looking for that grave but you'll never find it because it doesn't exist." When are people going to realize that God was serious in the Bible where it says that Jesus rose from the grave and ascended into heaven? A person has to be dead to have a grave, Jesus is alive!

Hi Ruth,

I guess that they dont know that Jesus only borrowed the tomb for Joseph of Arimathaea. Jesus only needed it for three days and three nights. I think that is why Joseph lent it to him in the first place, just kidding.

But it is fascinating as to why a man from Arimathaea would have a tomb carved out for himself in the vicinity of Jerusalem and not in his own family village of Arimathaea. Of course only to have Bible Prophecy fulfilled!

Isaiah 53:8,9 He (Jesus) was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of My people was He stricken. And He made His grave (Tomb) with the wicked (criminals) and with the rich (Joseph of Arimathaea) in His death because no violence, neither was any deceit (lies) in His mouth.

God Bless You,

David

I was just re-reading the original post this morning because Im about to add another post to it and again I got the biggest laugh from reading that article.

I think that it is so funny that so called Serious Science would be so desperate to attack Christianity that they would use a Muslim gravesite that is 600+ years later then the time of Jesus and then seriously attempt to claim that this is a legitimate study.

I guess that I find it so funny because a while ago I read a book called Bones of Contention it is a Christian book that reveals all the hoaxes about all the so-called cave men of the human evolution. That book did a great job explaining how leading Scientist make vast claims based on fragments of bone finds but the funny thing is that the scientist never even sees, touches, holds or examines the fragment. The fragment was found by a field worker and is locked in a vault in N.Y. and the scientist then from a photo makes an analysis. Even funnier is that after the scientist then a artist will make a Artist Rendition of the scientists work. In one example one skull fragment about the size of a quarter was found that is not even enough of a find to determine if it is a human bone. But the artist then created an entire life sized humanoid from this tiny bone. The humanoid was completely covered with hair had the jutting jaw the long arms and walked hunched over. All of this was concluded from one bone fragment but the scientist and artist didnt stop there they went on to depict an entire family all ape like and all from this one supposed bone chip find.

The book had many more funny events like how the bones from the Lucy find are actually bones that were found scattered of 250+ mile and in soil depths ranging from o inches to 35 feet deep. So apparently Lucy died in some catastrophic event even bigger than a Nuclear Explosion to be scattered so wide and what luck for the Scientist to find here so scattered. Also about the many bones that were treated with chemicals to make them appear Millions of years old. And Journalists, artist, scientists, teachers, even the government would have us believe that this is good valid science. But it is not good science, it is just a Hoax, and not even a sophisticated hoax at that.

They must really think that we Christians are a gullible bunch.

God Bless You,

David

Following is another article. It is to be noted that the Jerusalem City of Jesus was destroyed, by the Roman army, in 72 A.D. shortly (about 40 ) years after the crucifixion of Jesus. Then Jerusalem was not widely settled again until about 1948 A.D. That means that most archeology finds date back to the time of Jesus or before. And that means that God has given us a clear image in archeology finds of the Biblical times.

Was This Skeleton Crucifixion Witness?

By Cathryn Conroy, CompuServe News Editor
British archaeologist Dr. Shimon Gibson has found the 2,000-year-old shrouded bones of a skeleton that may be the remains of a person who witnessed Jesus' crucifixion, according to a televised documentary from the BBC. The bones and well-preserved clump of hair of this unknown contemporary of Jesus Christ were unearthed in a tomb near Jerusalem. They were wrapped in the only shroud from Christ's time to have been found in the area. Although it is only now being publicized, Gibson made the amazing find in 2000 as he was showing students some 1st century tombs in the Hinnom Valley of Israel. The tomb was found in Akeldama or the "field of blood," which is the area believed to have been bought by Judas with the money he received for betraying Jesus and the site where he hanged himself.

The woolen shroud was carbon-dated to the first 50 years of the 1st century AD. DNA tests on the bones show that the remains are of a male who died of acute tuberculosis. Gibson said the tomb was ransacked by robbers who most likely took valuable artifacts that were buried with the body; however, they discarded the shroud and the remains wrapped in it.
